Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Has anyone heard about the pricing to outsource the GSOC?

I heard that was the next group after TS was booted out.

Good bye CDW weather team! You were pretty good a couple of years back but you have been sh-t since. We can use that money saved on your salaries for real CDW jobs.

@fv No fear. If it is public information and non-threatening, we aren't doing anything wrong. I would welcome the lawsuit as I would counter and come out with more and make sure the case is public. This site will protect us because we are telling the truth and following the law. Not supporting us would expose this site to more liability.

@dn I promise you I am not a comm person. I’m just someone that knows dissenting comes with risk and these platforms do not protect posters as much as they let on. Just be smart and don’t put yourself at risk.

"I really know nothing about CL or our VIPs.".....Oh I'm sure we are missing soo much. I mean none of them can even have a meeting without reading off a script verbatim. Boring corporate shills. Their actions the past 4 years is all I need to know about them, aloof and no accountability, not the type of people I care about nor want to learn about.

@dn What you are saying is correct. I just got off a call with my brother who is a partner at one of the largest law firms in Chicago. Nothing about what is being posted on here is a problem. But the more I think about it, we need to just leave addresses out anyways. The information is public and people can get it from there and send their mail without fear of an interception from her assistant. I do believe she is a nice person, having met her in the past, and she just may not know the pain she is causing all of us. The letters may help her with that. But like all of the posters said, keep them professional and nice. You can even offer ideas to help increase our sales. We are all in this together. What do all of you think?

@d8
Correct...you see your leadership with nice watches, cars, homes and you see sellers with nice things once they become established and successful.

I saw that early on but also realized for me to be able to facilitate more for customers and myself...I had to also depend on those that might be hourly or even contractors. I treated everyone equally in my interactions and those that understood the company and thier roles made my life easier as I tried to also make thier day less stressful to get things done.

I knew early in if I wanted a mansion or a carefree lifestyle, I'd need to just depend on myself and my loyal customersm. This thinking allowed me to earn money that I saved and put ro good use to free myself of having to depend on people above me who didn't care if I succeeded or failed as long as they themselves carried on making whatever they given.

I think one of our past CEO's always drove a Nissan Pathfinder because that's what they liked. Edwardson had a collection of medieval we-pons. Cool things to know about our former leaders.

I really know nothing about CL or our VIPs. I believe there's a reason that most don't as it's easier to make decisions to conduct mass layoffs where you're removed directly from those being negatively effected.

Every leader thinks thier way is right but the best don't resort to the easy ways in tough times.

My 2 cents

@dk This sounds like a communications coworker being asked to post this by our legal team. The poster is not doxxing anyone. He or she, or even they, are just asking us to write her very professional letters because she may not read these posts and we are afraid to send an email. It is legal to use public information already on the internet and to send mail that is professional and not threatening. That is all they are doing here and I sent one last week pleading for her help and understanding and even used my actual name.

Nice try comms!

@af as gross as her behavior is, and while I personally don’t believe she deserves a moment of peace in her Newport $17 million mansion, I would delete this for your own safety. Posting someone’s home address is not protected anonymity (it’s considered doxxing), and this site’s own privacy policy says your log data may be disclosed in legal or safety situations.

@bm
There's sales and other coworkers from various depts that know about that beachfront mansion.

After all...things like that are the reason there are layoffs and the need to turnaround shares. Just look at the top comp structure and how it's weighted.

I always knew I was smarter than a lot of my coworkers but then I realized it's not their fault. They can't look outside themselves sometimes to learn from people they think might not be as smart. I for one learned from every dept. Information is priceless, after all, we work for a Information Technology company.

Maybe one day you can own a nice house like that one if you work harder and hit your goal.

@a2 also, stop being such a di-k rider, you aren't going to get anything from the company from white knighting them on an anonymous messaging board.

@a2 I don't think you understand how this works. Fu-k your confidential things, cdw have treated people like sh-t and they get what they deserve

@OP Based on this thread and other threads related to the GSOC, It prolly needs to be changed. You are the most re--rded and illiterate people in the company. At least those of you who post. Most of the threads are babble and about 30 tide watch. Weird.

@bc I made a grammar mistake on my last post . I meant to write sorry ladies and gentlemen and GSOC team but it is true.

Those in the GSOC can get other jobs easier than us out here. Our boss got the list and hundreds were let go today. We should sacrifice some of our own and you team members in the GSOC can find other jobs easier than us out here. Especially us older coworkers.

@b9 Yes they are, according to our new boss, they looked into it a few years back and hesitated because of some department happenings. Our new boss said the GC tried spoke to our previous boss but that some of his managers were against it and there was chaos from within the department so they held off. The savings are too large and many companies are using outside providers to do what they do. The savings may save real positions that increase the revenue of our company instead of telling us if it is going to rain. I say that it is a good move to make that happen. Sorry SocG ladies and gentlemen but its true. We need dollars over weather stories and if it can save some sale coworkers, we will be better off.

@a2, the entire point of an anonymous message board is making it ok to shine light on stuff like that.

@a2 CDW coworkers losing jobs to outsourcing (who have ruined each department they touched) should always be broadcasted.
