I think they've been waiting for the layoffs at Xbox to start so they can start using social media again after the no physical discs announcement. This whole situation would be fu--ing hilarious if it weren't so damn sad.

Great opportunity for the graphics programmers and others let go, from MS and elsewhere, to form a new game company!
It's a perfect storm between tariffs, AI bubble (supply chain constraints), aging prime gamer population that grew up with them, younger people not getting into them to the same degree, the max players (at least on consoles) is basically flat. Plus a variety of smaller contributing factors no doubt.
I'd say it may not be the previous game crash 1983, but it sure is looking like it'll rhymes.
Speaking of Sony, along with Microsoft/Xbox, they just seem like they all just want to get out of the business completely. Xbox definitely does, and is likely heading in that direction, but Sony/Playstation are seemingly heading that direction as well.
Oh well. Everything ends. Arcades did, basically. Guess this is the next chapter.
Gaming is dead given that gaming PCs are relics of the past.
