Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Why are they bothering with Mid year review for Remote employees if they plan to lay us off!?

Why are they wasting peoples time? Now that the cat is out of the bag and remote employees and Employees not in the same hub as their team are being targeted for future layoffs, why do they torture us and the Manager by having mid year?

Just give us our severance so we can move on with our life. Tired of this so bleed

Yes 100% it is coming and remote folks are the target but no idea on who and when. EFCC has a higher percent of remote people compared to the bank in general and that will be addressed in the coming weeks

Not a chirp. JR said there would be layoffs on the RMC call, but was vague.

@gr WTF? On a notice period and yet have to do mid-year reviews is the most insane thing I have heard. Guessing they gave you severance so you are having to comply.

@gv

Chirp. It's the usual suspects that are bitter over US Bank for one thing or the other coming to push rumors. The thought alone is a silly one and shouldn't be taken serious

Any proof of this actually happening or just all chirp?

I mean, I’m on a working notice of a layoff and still had to do one. It was the most pointless thing I have ever done here.

Will grade level be a factor in this?

nothing has been said about mortgage. I work in the NJ/NY market and not even crickets about RTO. No HUB except in NYC which is way outside the 30 mile and a few mortgage offices but now key swipes.

@c9 great question! I guess ultimately it will be up to the employee to determine if the commute into office is feasible. I should clarify that this is all based on "unofficial" information from my immediate manager. However, they aren't the type of person to make up stuff.

@a1 What is a reasonable distance?

Bunch of sadists is why. It is not enough for them to be successful but comparably they need to see others not be successful to feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, the corporate environment since the 80s promotes such thinking so we ended up with a bunch of psychos at the helm.

Are remote employees officially being assigned to a hub or is this a rumor?

Technically remote employees will be reassigned to a hub. However, if you don't live within a reasonable distance and can't relocate then you will effectively be given the heave ho. Ridiculous.
