Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Lots of activity in Houston

It seems that there are a lot of people from the UK visiting Westlake this week, but not much chatter about it. Is this related to the impending plans for layoffs?

They get tickets to Saturdays WC game in Miami…they get to meet the Equinor team to discuss things…it’s coached as a business event

@a2 he MI6 claim is nonsense. There’s no official UK security warning, no MI6 communication to private companies, and no evidence of bp considering relocation for economic and security reasons. If leadership is travelling, it’s far more likely tied to real operational issues like ongoing project challenges around cost, schedule, and regulatory pressure not geopolitical fantasies and the impeding reorganisation through the next levels with significant changes to some parts of the business.

Is KD making her last trip to the USA?
Are they here for the World Cup game?

Leadership needs to look at relocation options as MI6 has shared some credible evidence that UK is not a safe place to be and is looking for provocation towards Russia.

Simple. Expect BP to change domicile for economic and security reasons
