Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Where is the Survey???

We was told the annual employee survey was supposed to happen in June. Still nothing.

I have to wonder why… Are they worried the results will look like they did last time?

Because the feedback has been pretty clear… Employees have been saying the same things over and over, five-day RTO is hurting morale, the presence report is damaging trust, and people feel like leadership isn’t listening.

The action plans that come out afterward have become a joke. They check the box, put out some talking points, and nothing changes. They never actually address the issue employees are raising.

The answer isn’t another mental health program or another communication campaign. The feedback has been loud and consistent about what the biggest problem is.

At some point, leadership has to decide if they actually want honest feedback or just feedback that confirms what they already believe.

If the strategy is working, release the survey, get the results, and prove it. Or are you too scared to get your ego bruised again, Jon?

Oh they are definitely delaying it until the folks they've just surplussed are completely out of the business. They dont want folks they've just rendered unemployed able to respond so it will likely come out in September once these centers marked for closure in June are officially done. As if folks dont realize they still have one more surplus before the end of year.

StankeyLeg doesn’t care about the survey results. After being told last year all of us are wrong and to get lost.

I have already filled out my last survey. I will never take another AT&T survey while the current C-Suite is in place. There is absolutely no reason to take the survey should they conduct one. They do not care about the results unless it supports their opinions.

You mean from the “ no loyalty” CEO/company?

It will be back.

DO NOT TAKE IT.

It’s literally the only play we have.

They don’t care how low you score them, they don’t care about your scathing comments. They view it as a positive metric that you engaged.

DO NOT ENGAGE.

Please do not do the surveys. The only thing that really gets them angry is if you ignore these surveys, which are not anonymous.

I suspect they don't have enough people from India, and the lack of IceCream Socials to pump um their abysmal numbers. Those stupid things were just another level of HR b.s. Everyone internally knew the numbers were fake and that no one was honest on how they answered the survey. They tell you they are anonymous but my manager showed me they weren't and that they could always break down and tell who submitted what survey. Nothing about those surveys were honest.

“The culture is 8&skate.”

This is a vast improvement from the “2&thru” reality that took place when most employees were WFH.

The NYSE gives survey results everyday M - F for T at 4 pm ET.

They postponed the survey until September. I also hear they are changing the survey vendor.

Where is the McKinsey survey from 2023?

The culture is 8&skate. That is all. Never take another survey for this company again. They know the response rate will be so low they won’t even bother issuing one.

They sent some kind of survey link the other day. I just deleted it. They don’t care what we think and if you say something you shouldn’t you’ll find yourself heading to the train station. I’m here for the paycheck, don’t care about anything else.

The survey should be pushed back until next year. So many employees will be gone by then there really is no need to get viewpoints now until the employee base stabilizes.

I agree that they should issue it only to prove that nothing has improved. This has become the worst place to work in the world. Thankfully I’ll be gone in a couple more years.

Why do you even care about a survey they will never listen to? As far as I’m concerned don’t waste my time with that if you aren’t going to consider anything that was said.

For a moment, let's pretend that they actually do send out another survey... Do you really think the response will be any different than what we've seen from every other survey?

If you do, then I've got a bridge that I can sell you.

They have moved on from using the survey to gauge the misery level. Now they just check the obituaries. Did you think they were asking for feedback to make anything better?
