You all got tablets that can give you all the info or dispatching you need. You could have one manager just to keep an eye on things. Writing has been on the wall for years
Definitely happening most i&m bosses already have 25 to 30 guys. Whats 10 more at that point .
Well in a lot of situations that’s just silly and not practicable. Take the Central Office for instance. My current 1st level has 10 cot’s under him and 31 co’s that go with those techs. Let’s assume that model is generally followed through out the NY footprint. That would mean a foreman would be responsible for 120 central office?! Ain’t happening! Silly a$$ rumor.

You can email 10 or 40 people in the same amount of time.
That makes absolutely no sense bc first level people leader, I mean work pusher, in my org is AD and we don't even have 40 people IN the org let alone on the team.
Are you talking like sups who have call center or retail reps reporting to them?
