No traction will happen here, as the alternative to H1Bs is for companies to simply operate abroad entirely, in which case the jobs are still gone, but so are the tax dollars and votes. Therefore you will see politicians paying lip service to opposing it and then they will ultimately capitulate.

They need to just scrap the whole program.
We have plenty of qualified grads in CS and other technical fields.
We do not need to be importing infinity Indians it has become a grift. The majority of these H1B’s go to average IT specialists doing work that any CS grad can do, not prodigy’s working on world shattering tech.
