Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Takis - Changes need in FIG

  1. The Segment leaders have been over promoted. Most have never delivered at Fiserv and then we put them in more impactful jobs hoping for different results!

  2. FIG is heavy in the SVP area (ex - Core Sales, 3 SVPs managing a handful of people running Core migrations. Same in the RM area.. lots of Chiefs and then lots of Chiefs that have Zero knowledge of the business. Clients are frustrated!

  3. Net new logos SE team logs a lot travel expenses... where are the new sales? (ZERO because they are visiting existing clients because the leadership is measuring T&E as productivity!!!!!) - Measure SALES and Golf, Steak and Wine dinners - so much waste in that group.

  4. If you REALLY care to know where the skeletons are... call / interview the tenured SVP and VPs that exited in the last 6 months since Divya got there. They will tell you why they left and what rocks to look under! The institutional knowledge lost is mind numbing and the clients are suffering.

  5. Lots activity and no results. FIG is never a double digit growth business. But, it is also not a negative growth business. The people you have left there will sink it further.

And.. yes, I have tried to speak up... no one cares! The SVPs are merely trying to get to the next paycheck and vesting... they are not driving CHANGE!

Add the segment leader for credit union. Ineffective and hard to find him. We ki-ler this segment by putting him in charge.

@d8 💯 agree Part of why people leave India for opportunities elsewhere is the expectation that merit drives advancement. What I’m seeing — and it’s not limited to Fiserv, it’s across the tech industry. That kind of nepotism erodes the meritocratic culture that made these places attractive in the first place. Now we’ve all settled with mediocre talent as the normal. So many people like SK just taking over and trample on real talent so they can shine. Typical insecurities.

@a2 SK is the biggest id--t I’ve ever seen in my management chain ever. He is so clueless about what we do but yet very good at managing up. He is a very mean short little guy. Maybe that’s where his insecurity comes from. Watch him on camera when he is about to speak. Just observe.you will see it. He is very insecure deep inside because he is only comfortable with his buddies he constantly brings from India. He can’t handle solid independent American thought - before someone takes it the wrong way, this includes the American Indians who have embraced the free thought here in the good old US of A.
If Takis doesn’t see this, not much hope for him either.

Takis best way to find and fix the problems is talking to the SVPs/VPs that left under Divya's watch!! There is where the truth comes out! The people here are not motivated to tell him the truth.... they are here to keep their job secure.

@bp those employees who has been working hard to get good rating so that they get good year end review and merit raise/ promotion are totally disappointed as their one year dedication and hard-work got wasted and most importantly it impacted their moral and motivation as they end up getting nothing!

@bk So we’ve got 30 new SVPs, plus existing SVPs who did nothing, all cashing in — while the hardworking employees get no raises or promotions. Yeah, that makes total sense for a Times ‘Best Company to work for. For who the executives?

@be and 20+ new SVPs were hired I’m sure they are all being paid big bucks. Go figure!

@be No merit or promotions in FIG for lower grade! not just directors and above, no merit increases for managers too! basically grade 11 and above are impacted. Worst thing is no promotions either for lower grade! only SK and his pets (VPs) in FIG got promoted!

@aa I’m glad you haven’t lost your fight. Most of us have given up and stopped expecting anything to change. I’m holding out hope for a miracle — that someone will actually stand up for regular working people. I doubt it’ll happen, honestly. But I want to give humanity that chance anyway. Keep up the fight even when f you’re anonymous bc no one will. I want to cheer for you! 👏👏👏👏

@a7 I like my paycheck... so, will refrain from sending to him. I do have a lot of passion because I have more than a decade invested here and I know we are better than what we have been the last few years.

Before this gets deleted again. You post with such great passion, have you tried sending it directly to Takis?

@a2 lol Our product promo process has two stages: ‘performance review’ and ‘who’s the SVP’s favorite.’ Only one of them matters. You can guess which one.

Most of the employees on FIG Tech side has been complaining and disappointed as promotions are not approved by SK! On FIG product side people got promoted and also on merchant side! only on FIG Tech side (under SK) people are not promoted this year and the reason given was to “save money”! which is totally unfair! FIG CTO SK got promoted several times however he stopped promotions for people that are in low grade! no merit and promotions deeply impacted employees morale! very disappointing and demotivating! Takis, please look into this and give some hope for employees! its a bad sign as employees will lose interest to perform better if noone is getting promoted only SK is taking care of his his growth!
