I think some layoffs next week are anticipated, however, they are the wrong ones. Stop cutting the ones who do the work, the ones who make things happen. Time to cut the Sr. Directors who do nothing, AVPs with 2 direct reports can do their work.
Verizon leaders should feel the same anxiety as the frontline, they say who stays and who goes like they are gods.
They sit on their thrones and hurt families, time for them to feel the same as the rest of the employees. Why do they always get to stay.
How much more can Verizon employees take? Everyday morale goes down faster than the stock price. Leaders at the C level need to open their eyes, techs who install VoIP phones are let go so there’s no one to install and we wonder why customers are not delighted they are disappointed.
When you remove the only team members who know the customer it’s the customer who suffers. When they suffer let disconnect causing numbers to crash!
Fix this bring back the customer facing V-Teamers and Verizon regains its number 1 position again.

If you hold a Supervisor/Leader title you should at a minimum have 10 or more direct reports, start there and they will have enough to reduce without touching the production/front line employee
Senior Manager < Associate Director < Director < Senior Director < Associate VP < VP
Each with 2-5 direct reports or so. Yet the vast majority of cuts are individual contributors.
