More Large Outsourcing ??

Anybody hearing info on upcoming large outsourcing deal in the works? (Similar to Infosys and HCL deals in recent history, but larger)

The only relevant question is will the rebadged employees have the option to take a RIF package rather than accept the position with the outsource vendor?

@ah there will not be a class action as this was vetted by the former Verizon cohorts which were rebadged to InfoSys. None!! Nada!!!

The previous rebadging was done to InfoSys, when led by the Shank, now unemployed, when Hans was initially promoted to CEO.

Yes, and there is a "X" months to be granted steady employment for rebadged Verizon employees and then after that its your Karma to what happens next because the rebadged folks are too expensive, as in the former InfoSys rebadge pilot.

around 80% of GTS will be rebadged. First announcements this month, more to follow throughout the quarter. I hear it's not HCL this time around, though.

We will open a class action lawsuit against Verizon in the event we are offered no severance and a rebadge to any agency. The agency will not have similar total compensation, thus it will not be a like for like transition. Depending on jurisdiction that opens some small holes for a potential suit. After a decade of continuous layoffs where nearly everyone was offered severance. To force employees over to an agency they never wanted to work at with a package that does match ours, and no job security beyond X months. That just objectively is not like for like. In the Infosys sell off numerous employees were ultimately offered a severance option in lieu of the position at Infosys. That happened because of a notice to pursue a suit. So same applies here. We do not have to be in a union to act together, and a employment attorney will be able to help combine us under a single suit. They will almost certainly settle immediately with anyone listed on the class action. Do not accept this unscrupulous behavior from Verizon lying down.

I’m hearing it’s still going to be HCL tech. Our upper management will again call us a great partnership clap for the HCL execs when they get on stage and act like we’re all friends and then the first wave of people start getting laid off in 18 months. They’ll tell you the HDL tech sports lots of fortune 500 companies with their great software and then we will go around that they will find you another job if your contract ends with Verizon and then when it comes time to get laid off, they’ll call you the same week you’re getting laid off. HCL tech cannot move that fast. Therefore you will get laid off, but they can say it was mutual because they gave you an opportunity which they really didn’t.
