Severance Timeline

For those who have received their payment, what was your timeline like to receive your compensation based on your last day of employment?

@ba What's your actual severance date? Your payout should be about 4-6 weeks after that date.

@bj my bad, My "catch up" meeting with my D was 02/17. Timeline is still relevant. Even though it's only been a few months I feel like I have been gone for a year and along with that is zero concern about the company or what actually transpired so my dates were fuzzy after a few glasses of wine last night. I had been with Citi a long time and most of it was pretty good. The last 5 years were absolute He!!. I am so grateful to be gone from that place. My mental health was horrible. But I held out and made them pay me to leave. Such a better place physically and mentally now. Despite a lot of folks complaining about HR, my communication through the process was timely and crisp as well as the severance payout. I do find it odd that some people experience no communication, late or no severance etc. I tried to stay ahead of it and asked very specific questions about dates and pay amounts. PITA communicating through the portal but I always got answers within 2 days from people that actually knew what they were talking about. At one point they called me to discuss a lot of the details. Maybe I was lucky to get good HR contacts. Good luck to you all.

@dc Didn't say the warn ended on the last pay. It ended 90 days after. But the pay came later with the cycle. Reading comprehension matters.

@ag it is not possible you started warn on Feb 21 and end of warn was June 5 because my group WARN started March and ended same week as yours - 90 days.

Meeting on 02/21 for RIF,
06/05 after 90 day warn, last paycheck - including PTO
07/02 Severance payout.
The severance is taxed like a bonus at about 33%.
