Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Theory

They keep talking about the majority of the minority vote being needed to merge DT and Tmo. So how would you do that if you knew the current minority would vote no? You push them out. How? Drop the stock price so people panic sell. Lay them off so they are forced to sell. Devalue the company as much as possible so a buyout must happen for the org to survive. Once DT acquires TMo, sell to starlink because the FCC can't block a german owned company.

The goal isn't financial success right now, it can't be.

It is people like you that make me realize it is not even worth attempting to save this company from the likes of Srini and Deutsch Telekom. You are getting what you deserve.

@g5 guessing DT merger will be effective 1/1/28 considering cost cutting measures being worked on that need to be "effective" no later than that date

It is either DT or starlink. If DT owns TMUS outright there is no logic in selling it to starlink and nor will Germany be ok with it. However starlink could still make a play for entire DT. All of this speculative, but I still think DT buying TMUS outright is near certain. There are a lot of upsides to it for DT and all the leadership changes point that way as well.

I would relax and see what happens. There are so many hurdles to overcome with or without the possibility of Musk trying to buy us. I have ~4k vested shares and I'm not doing anything until I have better (verified) information. Panic selling never ends well. (most of the time)

Yo. "The Majority of the Minority" are just 3 large investment groups. I suspect they have already been swooned and won over. Exhibit A: at the recent shareholders meeting, there was not a single question asked. Don't buy into the bullsh-t that this threshhold will be hard to achieve.
