Thread regarding Cencora / AmerisourceBergen layoffs

India?

Why is it when I call Cencora I’m speaking to someone in India? I can barely understand what they are saying. What happened to this company?

@ad it’s not global realignment when you are laying off hundreds of American workers who have dedicated decades to being committed to cencora. It’s one thing to add talent overseas but it’s another to ruin the lives of hundreds of Americans to pay cheaper workers in India.

@bd the IT department seems to have gotten moved overseas and none of them ever know how to fix anything either.

This is happening when dealing with many major corporations.

What we need to do is start demanding a domestic representative on the phone. Demand to be transferred to the States. If they don't honor it, all you can do is vote with your wallet and stop using services and buying products that outsource support or other functions.

Oh, it gets even worse. As an employee, their HR department is outsourced to India so if you have an issue, you have to speak with them first and then they reach out to the local team. And they send a recap on the conversation but because there is a big barrier with understanding each other, half of the time they don’t recap the conversation properly and it looks really bad.
