Just learned that there are lots of folks as monthly contractor under Salm / Jef h team in technology used as rate cart driver. Also, very expensive opex contractors still around. This is really new to me. We got laid off but this?

@d1 Must be nice. Meanwhile, a lot of us that have been laid off by T-Mobile land contracting jobs and I’ve found it difficult to be hired on directly since 2022 even though I perform better than FTEs in my group. Things are absolutely backwards these days.
@c7 I have seen this a few times throughout my career. I wasn't aware how it worked since it was all new to me in the beginning. T-Mobile sponsors them; if they show merit, they will convert them to full-time once they get their citizenship. Once this happens, they will open a full-time position to convert them, even though others can apply for the role. I saw a few talented guys leave for another company because T-Mobile would not convert their role to full-time.

Oh, T will hire them as full time once they become the obvious front runner and get their citizenship. Seen it too many times.
