Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Is NGSA in Hopkinton a good place to start your sales career?

Somehow I am seeing that Dell is doing very well financially, their stock and value is the highest it's ever been, same about revenue. Otherwise I am worrying about the constant layoffs I have seen

I am currently interviewing for a Inside Sales Associate role in the NGSA in Hopkinton, MA and would love to hear some insights. Would you take the role if given?

If you want to get to the field NGSA is great. The pay is on for the job. But there are high highs and low lows. If you decide NGSA just focus on getting to the field ASAP and ignore the noise around you.

Dell is thriving off the backs of its slave workers! Shifting to international employment in India. 2 heads for the price of 1. Get the f out asap!!

If you can’t get a better paying offer somewhere else, I’d say do it for a year and jump to something better OR do it for a year, play the game to get promoted, work the promotion for a year and jump. I was in a similar situation and just wish I started applying externally after my first promotion instead of staying longer. You’ll likely make more money, develop a stronger skillset, and have more work flexibility with normal hybrid or remote policies elsewhere but imo this is not the worst role to have in your resume as an entry level thing if it’s your best option. The entry level sales roles are low paid (you will not benefit from the stock valuation) so shouldn’t have to worry about layoffs, just PIPs lol
