Thread regarding T. Rowe Price Group Inc. layoffs

Layoffs next month

I'm trying to find out if we're looking at cuts in August. Anyone hear anything?

@e1 Exactly. I did too. Just need to know the right people in the right positions.

@dw Naive comment. People have inside info. Someone told me about last July’s layoffs ahead of time.

@dw Past patterns. And why are the next group to exit leaving on July 30, one day before....

Friday, July 31, 2026, at 7:00 AM ET – TROW Q2 2026 Earnings release

Friday, July 31, 2026, from 8:00 – 8:45 AM ET – TROW Q2 2026 Earnings call

But we'll wait and see. It just doesn't seem normal to be here and not have some poor unlucky group being forced to train their replacements. A replacement group will be needed by then.

How would you know until the announcement?

Quarterly calls are their favorite time. If nothing this month then maybe safe till October? Or is that too simplistic

Nothing material on the horizon.

Yes dear leaders love the idea of fired workers during the Holidays. I know this F2BLOW thing had some 90 day component to it. I am not sure if that was related to when Accenture tells them what jobs they want to take. It is kind of funny at this point since I am out - they keep bringing on these workers to get a crash course in whatever job from hapless fired workers. They put no effort into really learning the requirements for these jobs. They just expect someone to create step by step instructions which is not always possible. All of the dearly departed workers cared enough to learn on their own, keep up with what is happening in the industry and tech, and get advanced credentials like certificates and degrees. Shining stars get replaced by dull ones. You'd think they'd pause this, but they are hungry for more. It seems counter-intuitive. My money is still on after the next earnings call. Hope I am wrong. From someone unceremoniously dumped by this place, I feel bad for the next group who will have to take everything they worked for in their career and hand it to someone without the same drive, passion, and frankly, aptitude. I found it dehumanizing and depressing.

Not that I know of. There’s cuts coming but I think it’s more towards the holidays
