Human in the loop is such bullsh-t....AI just facilitates intellectual laziness that has gotten worse with every subsequent technology-addicted generation.

We were so worried that AI was going to a revolt and ki-l us. But it turns out that AI is actually a dr-g. Companies have gotten a taste and they are hooked on every word. Executives are not even thinking anymore, just doing whatever the AI suggests without checking the work.

companies are still accountable for the models they are creating and using. There is pending litigation related to workday and companies that use their systems for recruitment. bias in models likely mirrors the bias of those building the model.

Look up the concept of an accountability sink. Companies have gone hog wild on AI, especially in hiring and HR processes, in part because it allows them to diffuse responsibility and obscure consequences of decisions so no individual human can be blamed when things go wrong or evil decisions are made. It's the same reason Wells outsourced administration of medical accommodations to Metlife. It allows executives to wash their hands of moral responsibility for decisions that materially make workers lives worse.

If WF used/uses any AI to do layoff guidance you can bet nothing novel or original was brought to bear. If it was used this way @ Meta then so too @ WF.
