@xy I don’t think you have any clue on what a cell tech does. And most union guys make more than that, you should see what they’re doing. I’ve seen it first hand, construction crews charging overtime but not working cause it’s raining. Co techs reading the news paper cause no one is ordering POTS. He-l I saw fios techs doing traffic control for an over a year cause they were too slow. Be honest the fat is in the union, but Dan can’t cut it as easily

Verizon cell techs are grossly overpaid and are not worth 100K++ wages they are getting. They don't do any meaningful work, they just keep opening tickets with vendors. There are a few good ones but very, very few. Most Verizon cell techs don't know first thing about their jobs and many of them are just untrainable or they don't want to learn anything. For the type of work that Verizon cell techs do, other companies pay 60K per year, tops. Verizon loses a lot of money on dead weight cell techs. If Verizon finds a way to optimize network operations, there is a lot of money to be saved there.

@bk if you don’t know what GNT is you don’t work for Verizon so it’s none of your business

@OP not sure but their engineering team is a fat organization with lots of redundant roles, tons of useless leaders everywhere with no accountability, millions of reorgs with no positive results, no oversight from upper ranks, programs go to waste very often..and the list goes on and on....

@OP no idea yet. But my guess OP/Engg as they hired many in offshore lately for those roles, no new hiring in US.

Less than 24hrs , will find out anyway.
