Should I cancel my team volunteer event this Thursday? We are passionate about serving our communities not only with America’s best network, but showing up to color pictures and paint skateboards too. These events are central to RTO to create moments that matter. I don’t know what to do given the rumors. I’ll go ahead and order the crayons anyways.

I donate blood all the time at volunteer events. Just put down the crayons and go do something worthwhile.
My favorite Hans volunteer event was using felt pens to color pillow cases for LGBTQ kids. From one pillow biter to another a suppose.
@ay hahaha totally agree, such BS
Can't even believe the opportunity to offer this question exists.
I'm glad I retired before VZ went off the deep end wasting $$ on stuff like this.
The job of VZ is to sell a product & service and be the best at it.. Not make communities "feel good". When storms hit, & neighborhoods are leveled & temp cell services are rolled in quickly, that's how you build a strong bond. Not painting their ^%% skateboards.
VZ once flew me to TX to pick up trash in a park
If you're asking this board on making your own management decisions
I do not volunteer any efforts on behalf of this place. I'll do my own, on my own time, and won't contribute to any "look at how wonderful we are" messaging.
You mean the forced volunteering VZ makes you do? I don’t think it’s voluntary if you get paid
I think you should go as it will make the notifications and the speech of the survivor townhall afterwards easier since you will have the entire team there. Just make sure you also attend the meeting your boss sets with you tomorrow morning for 11 am “Sync”
You should go, as it brings +ve for people and humanity , while the America’s best network i can't say , has terrible experience on 4th July weekend.
I would still go. Keeps people minds off things
