Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Our CEO is just a corrupt conman

I don’t know how else to say it. The major rise in stock has nothing to do with what we actually produce. It’s got everything to do with layoffs, politics and marketing.

We’ve got government officials like our president making major stock investments in the company and then publicly backing it.

The corruption is embedded throughout Dell.

Imagine having such disregard of your employees and company that you’d be so pathetically corrupt to literally do anything for a buck?

They got rid of anyone with any ethical value at the leadership level at this point so you’ve just got a bunch of spineless, cowards at the c-suite and SVP level who will literally do anything for a buck. Anything.

These guys are legends in their own minds though. At the end of the day, when they go into Home Depot, they’re just a guy in Home Depot. That’s what they hate.

Pathetic, pathetic life.

The love of money is the root of all evil. We all come into this world with nothing and leave the same way. These people will be wishing they did things differently when they kneel before God on judgment day.

@b7 oh please. This isn’t a discussion about politics and your characterization is just way off base. There has never been a president in my lifetime that has made investments in stock then publicly touted the company for their own benefit. If you don’t see the difference there that’s sad.

@a6 and what’s funnier. The whole Trump account thing. He met with Biden on that too! Is this some kind of tax free shelter funded by his stocks? The day he wakes up and realizes he was on the wrong side of history is the day his legacy is done.

@ay HR was NEVER there to protect the employee. The only purpose of HR is to protect the company. They do not care one bit about you. They just want to make sure the company doesn’t get sued.

What is so unique that others haven't done here????

Social media companies cozied up to democrats when they were in power.. not they are doing the same to Trump.. what is dell doing differently?? Its just out in the open now.

Why are we surprised?

@a8 sadly I think this is true HR used to be in place to protect the employee and the company meaning making sure the employee was being treated correctly, so it wouldn't come back on the company. But what happens is the employees concerns are not addressed or respected and in the end the mgr who is causing issues is allowed to continue on as is

@a6 With the DOJ investigation of HB1 visas, this was GENIUS on his part.

Now, he can radically trade out long term loyal AMERICAN employees for IIS's (Indian Indentured Servants) who work cheap and never question anything).

Dell is rapidly becoming a foreign company.

What bothers me as well is we have an HR organization that behaves like the Mafia. They do everything in their power to protect corrupt, incompetent senior leaders who time and time again violate workplace labor laws and employee rights. I've seen them abuse and threaten employees, retaliate against employees, and lie about their own performance. HR does absolutely nothing to hold them accountable. Worse, they protect them. Meanwhile, the employee is fired or demoted if he/she files a legitimate complaint.

There are no employee rights at Dell. It is a concentration camp. HR is a big part of it. Dell needs to be shut down for good.
