I saw a site is collecting all the workspace hubs. The message states “this is part of a change supporting a more consistent laptop-first experience across office around the country….just a shift to leveraging your laptop vs a virtual desktop using the hub.”

@aj ~$40MM write-off for the hubs
I've worked a long time and seen a lot of high level manager ideas, probably decided upon because vendors bribed them in some way, fall by the wayside after a few years.
@b6 and let's not forget the Dell Powerflex fiasco. More wasted dollars
Top level have severe constipation (including layoff strategy) and they trying hard in the toilet . They are doing this to get the stock price above $100. After that they want run with more money. But it is not happening it is more likely they have settle in the toilet forever.
Remember, IT is being run by a woman with an associates degree. This place is an absolute joke. They do NOT understand AI and how to leverage it correctly.
Another WF initiative resulting in probably tens of millions of dollars down the drain.
AI will probably be an bigger waste in the end. I've had a meeting every two weeks for the last YEAR with our "agentic AI engineering team." I've yet to see a fully functioning demo of it. I actually don't know if it exists. These people may have been completely BS'ing for the last year and accomplishing nothing.
that's a relief. seemed so stupid.
How much are we wasting on the latest groupthink IT -- AI agents?
AI is fine, but all WF is doing with it is automating broken processes. The processes will remain broken. We just get to see the shards quicker!
Literally millions and millions of dollars for nothing. The people running this place are complete fools and constantly misappropriate company resources. They don't know what they are doing and it's painfully obvious.
Yep. Wonder how much was wasted there.
@OP you are correct.
