I just found this. There are proposed rules in the making via the FCC but the comment period has ended.

@dz it's not for "security" it's for "collaboration" while we all sit on teams calls because they diversified their hiring portfolio a decade + ago and refuse to acknowledge it.

@dp It follows the same lack of logic used to send phone reps into permanent remote status, where they handle customer information multiple times a day from the comfort of their homes and in the company of family, friends, etc., while making those of us who don't handle customer information ever work in the office for "security" purposes.

@d0 LOL. One of them is due to "data breach".

And so, the solution to saving money to pay for it is to offshore labor? Right, lets put our data in the capital of scamming. Talk about "data breach".

You can't make this sh-t up! UNREAL! LOL.

It is easy to figure out why US Bank is cutting their losses by moving to India. They are sloppy and they have to pay for their sloppy greed. They are up to their necks in lawsuits.

US Bank's "disclosure" requirements are very messed up; I doubt if they will put anything in place to satisfy any FCC requirements. They are too cheap. Instead, they will make the agent "read" a disclosure and the agent will need to meet their new "metric" conditions. If US Bank fails the FCC requirements, they will blame the agents, attempt to rectify their failures through increased training modules, pay the fine, then do it again.

If those rules are put in place who in their right mind would not choose to use an onshore representative to handle your call? I would choose that every time!
