I was expected once again to take on tasks I've never been trained for, on top of everything else I already have to do. I said no. I told them if that's a problem, they can fire me because I'm done caring. My manager wasn't thrilled, but I'm still employed for now, so I guess they needed me more than they let on.

@ep are you talking about engineering roles? If so you gotta be extremely dense to even imagine it...

I am U.S. based and I go far far above and beyond the expectations. I work nights, weekends, and have taken on the job roles for others who are no longer with the company. Yes, I am utilizing AI as asked though it hasn't made it that much better. Different, yes. Better, not really. I do the work my manager cannot do. She has people fooled and it will collapse on her at some point. Perhaps she retains me just to do her job because without me and another employee or two, she would be nothing. And yet I continue to get sc--wed over with bonuses. It is my own fault for staying here. Ironically the employees in another country are not held to the same expectations for whatever reason. I am doing the work of 4. And they have 4 who aren't doing the work of 1. Cheaper isn't better, people.
@c6 Maybe you never carried your own weight before and now you are more aligned to deliver as a FTE. I am sure you have more capacity left. All you folks whine too much. Get to work.
Are all of these replys from US based employees? I so the work or about 4 people and continue to get dumped on. There is a huge double standard.
Teradata laid me off without ceremony. Best thing that could have happened. Got a great job and actually enjoy life again! Hang in there.
Go where you're wanted and appreciated.
That being said update your resume now and start sending it out looking for a new job.
Teradata doesn't appreciate their employees which means they wont appreciate employees that wont work 2-3 jobs at once.
AI can do the work right? Thats what ELT thinks while they award each other stock and never buy any.
Congrats! Just be prepared what could come next, it happened to me and I was forced out. Best thing that ever happened in my career. But just be prepared.
