Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Losing employee account money

Wellsfargo is annoying employees and so they are taking money to other banks, I am doing it too, Laid off , retired employees doing it too.
Wells should come up with some plan to retain good employees and keep them happy.

Working for IT,
once I see the quality of the coding here after a few months, I decided not open any account with Wells.
At the time, I thought the issue is coming from the company history, the past merger and acquisition.

But for recent years, watching how my Indian manager and teammate work, I know the reason. and looking at what CS is doing, I do not have hope for this company.

Why would anyone knowingly SH!TE where they sleep?

I would never nor have I ever taken advantage of any employer offered Banking or Credit Union available services (I have worked for several employers with in-house CU’s). The same with ESPP type plans. The risk does not remotely outweigh the benefits, to me, to put that much power in my employers hands.

@a4 Exactly. And if they don't care at all about retaining employees, they sure as fu-k don't care about retaining employee accounts. C suite would laugh their as--s off if they read OP's post (no offense, OP).

I've never had an account at Wells and I've worked here for 20 years. I've seen too much of how the sausage is made to trust Wells Fargo with my money.

You make the assumption they care about retaining good employees. That ship has sailed a long time ago. The M.O. for the last few years has been to get rid of seasoned veterans who hold down departments and outsource their work overseas to far more inexperienced people. They do this to save money, not cuz they think those overseas are going to perform better somehow.

I closed my 20+ year old account within the first 4 months of working here. Staying another four years was certainly a choice.
