Whoever had the idea to bring on a dog as the Chief Pawsitivity Officer is a genius. She’s super cute and everyone loves her. She has a fan clubs. Great distraction to the fires burning all around the Association as they lay folks off and cut back on benefits, etc.

Smoky is so cute, but the timing is suspect.
I have a lot of questions about Smoky. Is it a rescue or did the buy a pure bred? Is there an FTE paid to care for it 24x7? Why didn’t they use this as an opportunity to fund some kennels for service members to keep their animals when they deploy or apply influence to city leaders on the horrible stray euthanasia situation at the city pound?
Ignore the distraction so people don't talk about layoffs or culture

This is the most tone deaf BS I have ever seen in my career. They continue to layoff employees and blow up our lives, and they continue to waste our members money on a dog. It's baffling.
