@gr Ever heard someone using anything Intel's for AI? AI and Intel are never even in the news together in the same article.
That's of course not to say that AI itself is a huge overblown bubble. But that's another story.

Layoffs within DCAI only means that the strategy isn't working. Layoffs in a growth department means that the Foundry business has been losing money, or isn't hitting the targets needed. That's why a layoff in a growth area is a surprise. Intel chips are losing to AMD and they aren't laying anyone off. So you can see the difference in management styles between AMD and Intel.

These are their core bussiness groups that can still make profits. Sound like they fu---d up LBT big time so here you are ... buy more stocks

Layoffs and restructuring are annual events at tech companies, and particularly at semiconductor companies. Nothing to see here.

It is a site about layoffs, but these division-focused layoffs are an annual event.

Clearly the company is not yet firing on all cylinders, but hopefully between datacenter and robotics growth, plus maybe some real meaningful external WSPW demand, will get the various parts of the company operating at a higher level.

Then they will do the next round of layoffs, because restructuring is how the C-suite measures their personal performance.
