NC Employees: Are Severance Packages Still Being Offered?

Is Wells Fargo still giving severance packages to North Carolina employees? Long-tenured, high-performing North Carolina employees were terminated without severance after what they believed is due to manufactured performance issues being used to avoid severance obligations. Are North Carolina employees especially vulnerable to this compared to other states?

@b8 hilariously stupid post. “Everybody in this one specific state of NC does poor work!” You’re probably next to get canned

Everyone is just mad that standards are being adhered to. No more peanut butter raises, bonuses and promotions.

It’s a curve set by your own teams you dolts. If I perform all requirements to standard but you miss a timesheet deadline too bad so sad for you. I just became the litmus test. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

This is now part of the toxic company culture and standard practice at WF. Anyone who is a manger or above has loved it and anyone in this thread that tries to say it isn’t happening is either a clueless troll or Charlie & company sh!tposting. It’s clear as day folks, and it’s going to happen to a LOT pf folks that are still working at Wells. FWF

Manufactured performance issues? I doubt that. In my experience, the people in North Carolina who DON’T have performance issues are few and far between. In my department, most of the North Carolina employees did sloppy work, constantly left their desks and lied when asked where they were, and falsified timesheets for years, and even though management knew about it and put them on corrective action constantly, they very, very rarely fired anyone. So, yeah, I doubt the performance issues are manufactured.

LOBs don’t have any budget left to pay severance! It used to be an enterprise expense then it was passed down to the business. I wish it were me….

I seriously recommend taking pictures of positive feedback from management and storing them offline in case the company ever tries to pull this on you. Awards/recognition wont matter if they terminate you "with cause" and you dont have access to it.

Leadership: you have to have 25% low performance and manage them in order to terminate them. (See “terminate: no severance and ineligible for internal rehire”)
Manager: my team is performing well. How do I get to 25%?
Leadership: wink/nod. You must. Mwa hahaha! (Pinky to their chin)
NC is part of that, but it’s not just them.

" Long-tenured, high-performing North Carolina employees were terminated without severance after what they believed is due to manufactured performance issues being used to avoid severance obligations." More trolling, pics or it didn't happen.
