Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Little VZ stock pop is due to the Iran conflict heating up, NOT due to VZ leadership decisions

AT&T and TMO are also up. Look at the history of these telecom stocks. They go up when the other equities go down due to market risks increasing (wars, rising oil, etc.). Grandma clutches her pearls tighter and moves her money to utilities. She'll move it out of telecom when she thinks the risk is less, and VZ will then continue it's slide.

AT&T has risen twice as much as Verizon stock in the past 5 days…I don’t see anything that is differentiating Verizon still

@a7 - Nope. Just want those "leaders" trying to take credit for a little stock rise, and for those people cheering Dan for the same, to know people are smarter than that. The stock is up because it (and AT&T and TMO) is considered a safer bet than some other stocks at this particular time. Fund managers are doing what fund managers do. How about you? Do you ever get a headache from your manager setting his drink down too hard on your flat head while you are servicing him?
