How to manage clear case of Manager Favoritism

Fraud team here.. My manager is clearly showing favoritism towards a peer which is very evident to all across her org. Often other team members will be yelled/disrespected/least respected on team calls while that specific favorite will be handled smoothly for the same topic. Another observation - this discrimination is primarily towards people of color/immigrants. This is causing mental stress and impacting me severely.

How do I go with reporting this? Is there a way to report to HR anonymously ?

You need to understand it's a very toxic working environment and workplace bullying is very common here. Do what is best for you, either transfer out or document every day and hire a lawyer if you think it is serious. They are only afraid of being caught. HR will never get back to you if evidence shows illegal things exists.

Anyone do not know HR are hired by the companies? Their job is to shoot your complaint down.

I've had two colleagues (separately and completely unrelated) try to document cases against two different managers.

One had 8 single spaced pages tracked over 6 months.

The other documents 22 pages of egregious behavior over 14 months.

Both submitted. Ethics Hotline and HR rep took it "under advisement" but did nothing.

Neither went anywhere. They can wait you out. just sayin'

I would suggest not to do anything that will negatively impact you. It is same across 90% of teams. We do all the work but someone else enjoy all the perks and hefty bonus

90% of those in manager roles here in BOA follow the same M.O. : Servile and extra courteous to those they report up to while being abrasive and manipulative to those who report to them.

Before you make a complaint, watch YouTube video on how to correctly complain to HR. In real time HR 99.9% of time will say HR will investigate then tell you there is no wrong doings from your manager after a few weeks. If HR finds undeniable evidence, HR will be silent and doesn't get back to you.

The ethics hotline gives you the option to submit complaints anonymously. It also provides tools to provide additional updates and maintain communication over time. They will assign you a case number that you can use to access it any time anywhere.

Make sure you document every day for dramatic events. Take picture of the emails.HR only protects your manager and doesn't care about the law. Consulting with an employment attorney or EEOC.

make a list of dates and times discrimination occurred and make sure you have witnesses to it. If it’s a protected class then they won’t want a lawsuit for repetitional risk.

Never go to HR they aren't their to help employees but protect the management which is your boss. The only way out is leave the company. As soon as you speak with HR they will contact your boss and pit you in a performance management plan to fire you. Seen it too many times.

Write an anonymous letter to HR. Do not stand up personally.
