Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Significant paycuts yet high output expectations

With QPB and other bonuses removed, people under grade 7 are up against significant income losses in 2023. Including an inflation rate of at least 8%, most people are looking at 20-30% in overall compensation loss.

With no discussion of unionizing, and a more delusional, uneducated management staff it may be highlighting some crucial benefits of a union.

Unionizing allows employees to have a collective voice and bargaining power when negotiating with management.

A union provides legal representation and support for employees in disputes with the company.

Unionized employees often enjoy better working conditions, wages, and benefits compared to non-unionized workers.

Unions help ensure fair treatment and equal opportunity for all employees, regardless of race, gender, or other factors.

Unionizing can provide a sense of security and stability for employees, as the terms and conditions of their employment are protected by a collective bargaining agreement.

Joining a union offers employees the ability to work together for common goals, and to have a support system in the workplace.

Pretty sad when union representatives troll lay off sites to generate interest. Kind of like lawyers chasing ambulances to the hospital to get clients. Unions peaked in the US in the 1950s with about 1/3 of the private work forces being union members. Currently only about 6% of the US work force is unionized. If unions are so great than why the huge decline. Unions were a major cause of companies moving manufacturing overseas starting in the 60s and it is still happening today. Now we have supply chain stability issues impacting our national security... thanks unions!

You already know there will be no high output regardless of expectations of the company elite.

You can choose to belong to a union or not, and vote on its fees.

I am pro union, sign me up. Everyone usually complains about lack of efficiency..... lol look in the mirror, intel is the definition of lack of efficiency. I'm pro workers rights, not pro corporations.
