I have seen "Yes" Men rise up the ranks faster than people who question Management .
Have you worked at every company?
do employees question Management ?
Some do, some don't.
do Managers like obedient employees who just follow orders ?
Some do, some don't.
do you foster Growth and innovation by just following orders ?
Since this is a Cisco thread, Cisco doesn't grow or innovate, it acquires and all it needs of its minions is to create the illusion that what they acquired is being maintained. If they were the number 2 player in a much lower margin business they be burnt toast.
Asking about Corporate culture in America . would like to better understand the unwritten rules.
If you want to know if a particular sleeping pill causes racism you need a far larger sample space than Roseanne Barr. Since big corporations are global you also need to look far beyond America.
People are driven by self interest. Communist countries like Russia and China still have currency because having people choosing to use only what they need will never work - you need to limit consumption to what is produced. Everything from "minions aren't responsible for anything bad" to "I should be given a million dollars after screwing up for five years" come from children who expect everything to be given to them, and the upvotes they get show these are widespread views among the minions here. These people are every bit as driven by selfishness as the management they're complaining about and they downvote anything that forces them to look in the mirror.
