BNY Mellon placed on review for downgrade by Moody’s coupled with its stock share price being in negative territory for the last five years may result in massive layoffs in September.
We don’t do traditional layoffs anymore, just actions based on performance without the supplemental unemployment package.

Remember, from 2000 through 2008 there were 10% layoffs every year, no exceptions. I doubt that we’ll ever see anything like that era again.
We have 53,200 full time employees so 5,000 is under 1%. Have to think that they’re finally getting back to rightsizing under Robin. Hopefully they’re basing it on accurate worker metrics.
