@dcz

Yes, you’re correct. It was in heritage Mellon.

BNY Mellon placed on review for downgrade by Moody’s coupled with its stock share price being in negative territory for the last five years may result in massive layoffs in September.

We don’t do traditional layoffs anymore, just actions based on performance without the supplemental unemployment package.

Direct from your HR friend?

Every time that we get up to a dozen or so layoff warnings we get a sub 1% layoff.

Truth is that it’s been pretty darn hard to get displaced here for the past 15 years.

No, they’re preoccupied with hiring based at home employees.

We just fire people who are making a living wage and hire people in a country with 18,000,000 slaves and very few rights.

@qcw, funny that we have more employees today than we did in 2008.

@xls - 5,000 is less than 1% of 53,000?

I think you are in the wrong line of work.

That was legacy Mellon. No BNY.

Remember, from 2000 through 2008 there were 10% layoffs every year, no exceptions. I doubt that we’ll ever see anything like that era again.

We have 53,200 full time employees so 5,000 is under 1%. Have to think that they’re finally getting back to rightsizing under Robin. Hopefully they’re basing it on accurate worker metrics.
