Thread regarding Ford layoffs

It is upper management that fails ford over and over

Why do they keep their jobs? If I sit through one more Return on Investment (ROI), I ask how do I control this? Upper management controls the budgets, decides what gets cut, project approval, etc.

Advice I give to upper management, take your car to to a ford dealership and do not tell them who you are, I know you have never been there. Then go to a Toyota or Honda dealership. You will see a difference, but you don't care.

In Japan, layoffs are blamed on upper management. Germany they retrain people. You fail these people, yet you get your full pension and benefits. Why doesn't upper management take blame and step down. You let these people and families down.

Ford family, you need to do better.

Yes, the US economic system puts shareholder interests above all and drives decision making that does not consider human cost or impact. Cutting someone due to hit 30 years in 2 months, without any effort to help them bridge that to avoid pension impact is soulless.

Government pushes new technology without effort to protect people that will lose jobs due to changes

Are you asking c-suite to take responsibility for the company failing on the fundamentals of being an automotive manufacturer?? Come on, you know better than that.
