Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Retained Union Bank Employees

I'm a Union Bank employee that has been told I'm being retained, and have been assigned a US Bank manager. However, it looks like it will be a few more months at least before we're told our official job titles, pay grade, permanent work structure, etc....

I can't shake this feeling that many of us Union Bank employees in my position will be targeted for elimination anyways. Like we're just going to be eliminated in a later wave.

Does anyone else suspect the same? Anyone been told they've been retained but got a recent layoff notice anyways?

I would be happy to be laid off. It's not hard to see the plan. Promote displaced people and don't for employees with set jobs. Hire from outside but don't mess with retail employees. They have a tougher time replacing retail employees so, you will be passed up for opportunities cause of the turnover in retail.

No letter yet. Just a management email showing people in our group and who our managers will be. Still no official info on job titles or structure on how things will be done in the future. Still a few months away at least looks like before we get more info.

Did you get a letter with your role , etc? If not, beware they can still kick you to the curb. If you don’t get a letter soon start asking because after 12/1 you are on USB severance pkg plans.

This is the proper forum. Union Bank no longer exists. Any current Union Bank employees are U.S. Bank employees.

I would start looking for a job elsewhere if I were you. Since the day Greedy Andy Cecere took over, no jobs have been safe. They will look you in the eye and lie about jobs being safe. Cecere and his masters at McKinsey & Company are a cancer is that slowly ki-ling US Bancorp.
