Received reward budget for my team

Check your workday if you are people manager. Just got reward budget for my team. Are we allowed to go over the merit, bonus, stock numbers?

First time doing this and very disappointed looking at the numbers.

Leader Planning 8/21-9/5 (this is when. you talk to your peers about the numbers

So, in these days, managers propose engineers for promotions and a director or VP is making the final decision on 9/5 (or a little bit earlier).

A manager has a budget and is finalizing the numbers for Bonus and Salary Increase by 9/5 (I assume that will need no Director or VP approval)?

Note to myself: take it easy for 9 months starting 9/6 :D

Just curious as to what this would look like…

We talking like 40K for merit / promotions and 50K RSU. Is that reasonable? I’m guessing it depends on team size.

Yes, you can go over the budget if you talk to your manager and up to get approval. They might be able to find money for you from somewhere else.
