Spend time with your loved ones, take your families to the park. Go fishing. Get your financial house in order so you do not get to the precipice like this guy did. The executives don't care -- the only one that cares is YOU.
Stop financing your Suburbans every 3 years. Stop buying the premium toilet paper, go to costco. Costco chicken for five bucks. Great Value tuna is just fine. That extra money? Pack it away. Get that house paid off. You don't need a six bedroom 4 bath.
Save up a monster balance sheet so that you don't get in trouble when the time comes. It is exactly what JPMorgan is doing. Monster balance sheet so they dont care about recessions.

Stop using credit cards -- they incentivize you to spend. If you insist on having them (like I do) for the points, learn to control your desires to spend. You don't need to go out to eat every day. Learn to cook at home. There's an app, its free, called Mealime. Makes cooking easy.
Just some kind advice from someone who doesn't care about you, but does care greatly about his family. And news like this does make me sad.
