So what happens to company holidays if UAW and Ford doesn’t make a deal? Thanksgiving and Christmas for this year is not released.

Check your lump sum, and plan your exit to greener pastures. Then you should have left last year.

@sdq

This was an option being discussed for December 2008 during the depths of uncertainty at beginning of Great Recession. Unpaid month of December. It was that dark of an outlook,. Stock went to $1 per share. Holla for a dolla.

UAW has to realize D3 auto companies are one recession away from bankruptcy. Federal govt debt to GDP ratio is 130% and feds have no leverage to borrow and help auto industry should a recession occur.

My and my esteemed colleagues LCB remember the bad old days for sure.

On Monday, Kumar said the holidays will be as they were last year, including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving and the days between Christmas Eve and New Yew Years day.

You still get the same holidays you would get with the old contract. veteran’s day, thanksgiving and Christmas break. Check the global ford holiday calender sharepoint

You all will be off for the rest next year. Ford will file for bankruptcy soon.

Most likely salary workers will still get the same holidays, i.e. the Thursday & Friday for Thanksgiving, and the entire week of Christmas off.

Until a new contract is ratified, the Big 3 are operating under the terms of the previous contract.

If you are Working remotely, take a “quiet quit” day. Check your lump sum, and plan your exit to greener pastures.
