@osv+1q2cDujX what you say is bullshlt
You people make less money than I thought. Still paid well relative to the actual work though.
Seems like all the older guys who are on here complaining all the time are breaking $200k annually…not sure what they’re all so unhappy about. I guess people get more cranky as they age. Maybe get a nap room with some ensure and viagra for them 😂
CL 25, age 26, manufacturing, $140k
Early 30s, CL 25, Controllers, $122k
CL27. Late 40s. EMPS. . VG. $215k
As a long time supervisor I can confirm salary is 100% based on:
- CL
- YEE
- Ranking
- If you are a HiPo
I can guarantee this is the truth. It is literally an equation Supervisors used to have some say but that was several years ago and now HR doesn't even share the salary curves with them. It has been this way since about 2020 if I remember correctly. Even before then Supervisors had very little say but could bump your salary up or down a little bit. If you get enough of your friends to share these numbers with you it is possible to create the curve and salary equation yourself.
Early 30s, upst, CL25, O, $125k
CL24, 40ish, 190k
@knd
You mean to tell us that people’s career and compensation is based on a stupid number a few people assigned them? Someone who is in accounting or IT will make the same as someone with highly specialized skills such as a geophysicist based on a CL number?
Fixation on ranking, money, leap frogging over others will lead to nowhere.
Early 30s, CL 26 Controllers, $150k
EMTEC CL27 $240k 30s
The post below, is incredibly wrong. Exxon salary is 100% based on CL, YEE, and assessment… literally nothing else.
BTC, mid-30s, CL26, $120k (great raises here… thanks for shouldering the VPs, DW, and campus costs in Houston on your bill rate!)
Salaries are based on the job type and scope of impact, not on age or CL.
Focus more on what you want to achieve rather than your ranking and salary. It’s a rat race that leads to misery. But XOM is full of people who run this race. At the end of the day, nobody cares how much you made or your CL level. Titles are cheap unless you earned it.
CL 27, late 30s, downstream, 250K
Mid 30s, CL25, Downstream, $160K
Early 30s, CL 24, EMIT, $140k
