Let me preface this by saying being on video for a staff meeting or a quarterly exec review is perfectly fine, but not 4-8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
It's one thing to be in a room, but it's weird to be looking at virtual heads all day long. How does seeing their mouth move enhance the meeting or make me more productive? Someone told me it's so they know you're paying attention... like, am I in high school?
I think the cool 'kids' like it because it makes them feel important or part of the 'in crowd'.
I don't want to see my spouse this much!!
