Can holidays count as in-office days?

As in… Do we have to RTO twice or three times this week?

In case you didn’t catch it, that was sarcasm posted by someone who clearly understands how things work here.

I have one of those AM’s. And they’re good at their job, nice people. They stated as such, basically come in but yes you can count your days off as “in office”. Despite conflicting messaging from VP level (who also flipped flopped on the topic, first stating that they count and then stating that they didn’t).

My AM is smart. They didn’t communicate this in an email.

Why do you think that is?

Better listen to your VP if you want to be safe and not test the theory.

3 days a week in the office isn’t confusing. People are making it confusing trying to figure out how to bend the rules. Not rocket science.

My group was told holidays, vacation and sick days don’t count as in office days. So even if you’re out on vacation 4 days in a week, you better be in office that one day you are working.

It's a typical AT&T "policy" that has not been clarified in any way still. Pretty much sums of AT&T HR and policy makers.

Like others have said it’s group specific. The fact higher ups care about this makes absolutely no sense. Shouldn’t they be focused on actually important things instead of micromanaging if people are in the office 2 or 3 days after a holiday?

Hear, hear to that. The world is in shambles. I for one want to be with my family as much as possible instead of commuting to and from a job I can do from home.

Some groups say a company holiday counts as a day in the office therefore reducing the required minimum of 3 to 2 for this week but there’s 0 consistency so check with your boss or go in 3 days to be safe

Been covered to death here. Long story short depends on your Boss. Policy is unclear and not consistent across business units.
