Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Raise %?

Was just sent my 2024 compensation sheet. What did your increase look like this year?

I am VCG, performing, got 2.5%. Lowest I've seen in over 20 years with VZ.

Late to the game but performing this year and got 0%? But last year I was performing and I got 6%. I have coworkers with similar tenure to me that make about 20% more than me that got 2% last year but also nothing this year. Last year was “catching me up” cause my pay wasn’t fair in comparison. But now it doesn’t matter. They should’ve been catching me up in prior years. So why try hard now? I can coast and get a performing rating or try to ki-l it and maybe be leading and still get nothing. And I can make just as much commission at performing or leading. Just have to manage your numbers.

Performing and I got 3.75% which is lowest I have gotten in years however apparently that was better than most of my peers who got even less than that. Yet, I know of other folks who got way higher. Honestly its all such BS, I am so sick of Verizon been here 11 years and I am super burnt out.

Ridiculous!!! Last Sunday, there was no need to spend good money for the Super Bowl 58 advertisement. Boneheaded!!!

Need an answer who made this stupid decision and these set of individual and its hierarchical managements should be fired without severance. And need to claw back all the money spend on last Sunday's advertisement from their compensations.

Performing and 0%. There are a lot of people that work hard, have good reviews, and didn't get much of anything and some like myself that actually got nothing. Glad our leadership could justify spending millions on a stupid Superbowl ad that won't do anything to help the business, but taking care of employees...nah. Those articles that talk about quiet quitting, I now understand why.

3% performing increase, for a SR Business Account Manager with Presidents Cabinet Numbers. Remind you Presidents Cabinet is awarded to the top 1% in sales, but got annual increase with a performing rating. This is the definition of insanity. You’re the Top 1% but you’re only performing? gtfoh

VCG, Band 6, performing. 4pct this year and last year 4.5. 5 pct prior to that. Trending wrong way. Probably starting to catch up to the averages. Someone mentioned band might have something to do it. Previously Band 7 got 2.5 Leading but was told top of band. Performing before that got 2.5 also. Friend, PMP in Defense got 4 pct this year and 4.5 last year. Cousin in medical sales got 3pct. So pretty inlined assuming.

You see what they're doing. Putting more and more of your compensation in the risk category. STI and RSUs. The RSUs were a disaster.

@1zbc+1r3WAsrM length of service doesn't matter. It's your rating and your salary position with the market range for your job. Typically people who are here longer are higher in the range, but if you've recently changed jobs, you could be lower in the range even though your overall length of service is high. Someone rated leading and getting only 1.5 is very close to the max of their job. Once you hit the top, there are no more raises unless they shift the ranges up based on the market.

Why are lazy union people here on this site if there is not a chance of union layoffs.
Maybe a union organizer who wants union dues from managers. Beware of anyone promoting a union. I was there once, they take your dues and get you nothing in return. The pension and other good benefits union members have were negotiated a long time ago. What does a new hire union guy get? Not a pension. Not job security. Unions are a joke today unlike the old days.

So does inflation. Compounding is required to keep up.

This is why it;s way better to be in the union and have a contract with raises in it . Not to mention we still have a pension !

VBG 3.0% performing 6. Par for the course. I was told HR decides all the raises based on tenure and your relative position within the salary band, and on your rating too.

Not just RIFs. If they gave us good raises they’d compound and they’d just have to keep paying us more and our bonus next year would be more. Give a slightly higher than average bonus with a low BPI and the long term savings is lotsa ferraris.

by

Post ID: @1prp+1r3WAsrM

It's because our RIF packages are based off our annual salaries not bonus. They would be paying out millions more this year if they gave out realistic annual raises.
