Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Outsourcing tech/ops to India - four simple questions

  1. How much does a typical tech/ops employee hired by Wells make in India? How does that translate into our standards? For example, even if they’re making $40-$50k, it may be worth $150k here.
  1. What % of the efficiency/productivity do they yield vs. US based employees?
  1. Given the above, at what relative salary level does it make sense to hire staffs there en masse? 1/3 of the pay here? 1/5 of the pay here?
  1. Are there any long terms risks? Business continuity, customer service quality downhill? And how is Wells mitigating against those risks? Or is it just cost cutting w/o giving a cr** what happens in 5 or 10 years?

If they fire white Americans and hire Indians to replace them. They save money AND increase their minority count. It's a win/win for someone who doesn't care if tech actually works... hence month long freezes and high DEI numbers

Wells has proven they don’t care about returns on their virtuous investments, which is evident with all the loans to high risk minorities. They figure if it gets bad enough the government will bail them out again.

The bottom line is the bottom line. If India is cheap enough, it really looks like the bank doesn't care about TRUE operational efficiency.

It takes twice as much explaining, three times as many emails, 4 times as much time with customer service (enterprise side, not customer side), only for things to end up being doing incorrectly.

Are u ready to work for $10 an hour? Charlie will keep u and probably kiss u daily. Stop analyzing this topicand move on. There is no option unless dollar takes a dive. Which is not far off
