So, if level 1-2 layoffs have been x% of level 1-2 employee headcount index that value at 1.00. What have been layoffs relative to headcount for levels 3,4 and 5 plus.
Lets try and have serious replies only. If anyone has any inside information or believable rumor mill stuff on this topic that would be really great as well.
I'll take a stab at it - I may be overly cynical but this is what I've seen in the past (remember values are relative to size of headcount for that level and not relative to total number of layoffs for L1-2).
Level 1-2 1.00
Level 3 .05 (20:1 ratio)
Level 4 .02 (50:1 ratio)
Level 5+ null set (zippo)
My view is that management headcount has become even more top heavy as a result of JS, not less. Layoffs have not even been close to proportional to level headcount. Maybe nothing to be done but might be of interest.
