Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

So when did Ohio become part of the location strategy?

Just read this on linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7242707332776820736/
Apparently they are hiring.
We started the day with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Wells Fargo Columbus Technology Center that was attended by Employees, Tech Leaders, Elected Officials, and Community Service Leaders

So the new hub spots (Columbus, New Jersey) are hiring and the old traditional hub spots (San Fran?, Minneapolis, Iowa) are being drained.
Churn baby churn.... CS and company are driving the psychological safety of this bank to an all time high.

The new hub spots are created to provide cover so that Wells does not loose what little reputation it has left. Oct 8 (3 days before earnings, 2 days before 401K match cutoff) will be interesting.

Columbus is a JPM hub ..they are leasing loyalty circle building which has enough space to put in 5k ppl there..won’t be surprised if they call it the new hub

It is the JP Morgan Chase hub location. More than half our team has already been replaced by the comparable team at JPMC. One upper level manager came in 2 years ago and he has brought over his entire team.

JPM has data centers in Columbus. WF hired an exec from JPM. They then worked to get a tax break from Columbus to open a tech hub there despite only having roughly a dozen tech employees in the Columbus area at the time.

Scharf hires buddies from JPM who don’t want to move, so just like Hudson Yards, make that spot a hub and lay off employees from other tech centers like Winston-Salem.

The board of directors has completely failed in oversight.

WF is a playground for Scharf and his cronies to make a lot of money at the expense of tens of thousands of employees and the long term health of the corporation.
