I am in my 60 day notice and can still apply to jobs as an internal candidate. However I would not be eligible for a salary increase and have to work as opposed to getting paid to do nothing for 60 days. If I wait until my 60 days is over I can come back as an external candidate and ask for whatever salary I want (if you come back within 6 months you get your benefits continued).
Are there any benefits to coming back during your 60 day (as an internal employee)? Sounds like it’s better to come back as an external candidate. Make it make sense!
