Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Ex Employees are Legion and we will conquer!

The systematic dismantling of the employee base within AT&T will amount sustained losses in both revenue and market share.

Ex-Employee:

  • disconnects $160 per month in wireless services, TMobile gains a family of customers.
  • disconnects $600 per month in wireless services for family/friends. Tmobile wins again.
  • cancels $14.99 per month in HBO.
  • disconnects $129 per month in Uverse cable services, and fees. Google Youtube Red or Hulu gains a new customer.
  • disconnects $49 per month in broadband services. Installs Fiber with Metronet.
  • declines to recommend AT&T services to anyone in neighborhood posting for advice.
  • ceases to remit $179 per month in healthcare premiums added to AT&T coffers.
  • purchases $4,000 worth of mobile device upgrades during next cycle from TMobile. (No more future lock-in contracts or device finance revenue for AT&T).
  • moves Pension and 401k out of the hands of AT&T plan managers and administrators (mystery loss of $$ interest, admin, fund management fees, etc, to AT&T).

All told, it’s a large sum in both revenue and market share.
The erosion will prove to be long-lived. This doesn’t even begin to factor in the inefficiencies and costs that are incurred by replacing the employee with a shiny new one.

NO AMOUNT OF HUMAN ASSET REPLACEMENT, for preferred RTO location, age, race, or gender, will ever recoup what AT&T will lose.

One by One, Ex-Employees are Legion and we will conquer.

None of that really matters...they look at customers the same way they look at us 2nd class citizens.

They will just find another way to exploit more money from the remaining! Ya know, cause the minions still need to get their hero*n fix...errr, internet service!

"You’re still a loser."

Look, let me tell you something—this is total nonsense, folks. Absolute nonsense. I’ve accomplished more than anyone ever thought possible, and I’m not just talking about big wins, I’m talking about the biggest wins. The biggest! People said it couldn’t be done, but I did it. I’m a winner, and everyone knows it. People love to talk, they love to spread fake news and negativity, but I’ve built an empire. I’ve made America great again, and I’m going to keep doing it. Tremendous success, huge results, and the best is yet to come. We’re winning like never before, believe me. So if you want to keep talking, go ahead. Meanwhile, we’re making history, and it’s going to be absolutely fabulous!

You win your contest and lose at life. Congrats!

This was me as well. Moving 4 lines to T-Mo and it’s half of the 285 bill I got the 3rd mth after I took my package- so glad I did after 20 years.

Your health care premium is not paid to AT&T.
Your retirement accounts are not paid to AT&T.
AT&T is paying more to offset your health care plan than any amount you're paying in services. Your $160 cell phone bill certainly includes phone purchases.

An employee's health care benefits is greater than the amount they pay for plans. The company comes out ahead in this regard in employees going away.

The Stink don't care how many customers, of x-employee or not, leave. He wants to get his change-in-control mega golden parachute. The lower the stock goes, the lower the stock price, the lower the sale price and at some point, some I D I O T will buy it for a shiny nickle and the Stink walks away with hundreds of millions.

Stink Cha-Ching!

break ups take time. 20 years of service requires 10 years of hate to move on. I guess you just need to deal with it and move on yourself. lol

  • I've already told 120 in my extended family to get off of ATT. They are happily shifting over to Verizon. We're going to become a Verizon family.
  • -Verizon gives discounts beyond the immediate employee to extended family. Here we come!
  • T-Mobile looks really looks decent too on pricing and coverage. In fact T-Mobile provides discounts through a program called Previ, which is about 3/4 of the employee discount that ATT gives. Most employers provide Previ benefits .
  • I have announced on Facebook and Twitter for friends to get off of ATT because of their immoral and unethical business practices on how they treat management and the bargaining group. I received support from 58 people in the last 24 hours. They are tired of the data leakages and outages.

ATT is a strong running network sure, when it works. Plenty more outages than the other two carriers. Lots of data leaks to the point where I may as well just post my ssn here and cut to the chase. Lots of terrible decision making with security. Employees are blamed for stock prices when 99% of the employees can't affect the stock price.

ATT is amateur hour. When leaders start saying: "we need to do better" it means that leader doesn't know they are incompetent and is not owning the problem. Problems begin and end at the leader Mr Press, Mr Legg, Mr Summers, Mr Stankey, Mr Chewning, Mr Arroyo, Mr Desroches, Mr Gillespie, Mr McElfresh. You are all absentee landlords. You do not lead, you created and manage a dumpster fire.

Poor thing. How will you ever survive without sticking it to your buddies and family on the Anonymous Hotline? Some of us actually get paid for this of course we only have 1 hour of "Free Time" per day but overhead in this joint is low.

We are legion, we don't need consumers or customers. We need minimal and loyal employees. With our government subsidies and integration we are too big to fail. Now, please put your efforts to more realistic endeavors.
