typically known by directors/md's months prior. 1 over 1's do selections by pool, grouping similar folks together and then picking based on neutral criteria. managers might not ever know until the day of if they are in their own layoff pool.

Every year they select an amount of people to be laidoff per year. Every other Tuesday those selected get a meeting and given notice. HOW they select these people is still a mystery.

It’s usually two weeks before you get your notice but pry on the rader much longer.
