Got let go today from MCBU, never had a 2- or 3 in my entire 20 years career with Chevron. Was I targeted for my age or for my high pay? I did not sign and will not sign any severance papers as I have enough cash to survive for about 2 years.
My problem is about the unfairness of the process. I am getting a lawyer. Do I have a case? Some of the labor laws stipulates that a "fair and consistent" process should be used. Many 2- in the company are not even part of this RAE, just CNAEP I am not a 2- or and I still managed to make the RAE list. What gives? I can't get my head around this one. I have no problem with moving on but man the process SUCKS and I wish it was fair.
I already emailed John Watson and Joe Geagea and I will be very curious about their answer, if any for that matter.
