Lot of your colleagues say "ohh..i was supposed to be in that list" , "glad atleast you were out of this place" , "you will find good job soon" , "you got a great package".
and when you arenot around they were talikng with others" glad the bottom 5%, non-performers, lazy, non-cointributing people are gone, now we can work peacefully".
so dont listen to your colleagues. they think they made the cut because they are high performers or they have good xxxxxxx with their manager.
I am from APSS team and building AQ. Christ knows the truth...how hard we worked day and night..sacrificing families and desires...were always on time and late nights..weekends...late night meetings..early morning meetings with QIPL..china..UK teams...so family is the only one who can understand and review your performance...multiple qualstars..appreciation emails...nothnig mattered now in front of manager personal revenge...
Layoffs say: You are rejected. You are not needed. You are no longer welcome here. You are not good enough. You are not a part of us anymore. You are not valued. And you are not worthy of being kept on.
That’s a pretty harsh message even for the hard core among us. So let yourself absorb that, digest it, deal with it, and accept that it is hard, really hard, to come to terms with a layoff. You didn’t ask for it. You didn’t expect it, and you most certainly don’t deserve it.
But layoffs have nothing to do with you, your talents, your brilliance, your ability and least of all, your future!
